Alexa Weber BS. Masters Level Counselor Intern
Alexa is currently a masters student at Saint Joseph’s University, where she is pursuing her Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree along with a certification in addiction counseling. Her passion for understanding the complexities of human behavior and relationships began during her undergraduate studies at Saint Joseph’s, where she earned her degree in psychology with a minor in animal studies. Alexa’s journey into mental health counseling was also shaped by her experiences as a student-athlete. During high school and continuing at Saint Joseph’s University, she was a member and captain of the cross country and track teams. These experiences taught her the importance of resilience and the value of mental well-being, all brought into her counseling practice. Alexa is committed to creating a supportive and understanding environment for her clients, helping them navigate life’s challenges with compassion and care. She has completed her practicum and has begun her internship at Rewired Path as she continues to build her skills and experience in the field. Alexa has received specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which she hopes to utilize in her client work. Alexa’s target population is young women ages 14-25 who are navigating life transitions, dealing with depression, or managing anxiety. Her approach is centered on creating a supportive and understanding environment, helping clients develop the tools they need to thrive.
