Dena D. Ferone, MSW, LSW

I was born and raised in Atlantic County. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from Rowan University and MSW from Rutgers University. I have worked in a variety of roles within this field working with diverse populations.

Working as a Community Engagement Social Service professional has been the focus of my career for over 14 years. I have been recognized as a “Top 40 Under 40” in Atlantic County for my work in spearheading the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. I am comfortable working in any environment with diverse populations to improve wellbeing for all and increase commitment to social justice and responsibility. My success in the social service field is also a result from the clinical-focused education I received while attending the Intensive Weekend Graduate Social Work program at Rutgers University.

I have a wide-range of volunteer social service experience including previous participation volunteering with the Atlantic County Hoarding Task Force, Ducktown Neighborhood Committee, leading Women Empowerment groups at Oceanside Family Success Center, and numerous fundraising for local nonprofits.
