Erica Lapid
Presently, Erica Lapid is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), with over 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health and substance use. She is a dually licensed clinician in the state of New Jersey (LPC, LCADC) and holds multiple, specialized certifications at both state and national levels. With extensive experience working with trauma, co-dependency, addiction/substance abuse and co-occurring mental health diagnoses, Erica accompanies individuals, couples, and families on their journeys toward recovery and wellness. Erica takes pride in creating a calm and nurturing environment for her clients, providing them with a safe and comfortable place for self-exploration, expression, and emotional healing. Her psychodynamic approach to counseling is often described as strength-based and holistic, believing that one level of the self should never be the focus of clinical attention to the exclusion of another. While Erica has experience treating clients of varying gender identities across the lifespan, her target population has been cis-males ages 18-35.
Erica also has a history and passion for teaching addiction courses as an adjunct professor at Atlantic Cape Community College, experiencing great joy in accompanying students on their journeys toward certification and professionalism.
