Julia Gallo, LPC. CCTP

The truth about trauma is that pieces of the past can often influence our present-day thoughts, feelings, and experience. The beautiful part of the journey is that you do not have to go through it alone. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I specialize with helping individuals process and heal from traumatic stress and while also developing tools to effectively cope with present-day anxiety and related symptoms. Together, we will find empowerment in identifying anxiety triggers, exploring past/present experiences, and gaining helpful tools to manage anxiety in everyday life. I am also connected to working with individuals who may be facing personal obstacles such as life transitions, executive dysfunction, stress management, women’s issues, work/life balance, and self-esteem.
While I generally follow a humanistic approach, my primary method of treatment focuses on client-centered counseling. I also tie in key components from a trauma-informed lens and mindfulness-based approach. I appreciate taking the time to recognize the uniqueness of each person and encourage different types of client-centered modalities depending on one’s personality and specific needs. My practice is rooted in compassion and creating a safe, genuine environment to empower clients toward their personal goals and overall growth.
My goal is to empower my clients with supportive and effective measures so that they can return to their core selves while also harnessing a deeper understanding of themselves, their experience, and how they want to write the rest of their story. As a professional counselor, my goal is to continue to expand my skills and knowledge.
